Having acquired the freehold of 99-101 Lord Street on behalf of a private client, Mason Owen, working with the tenant’s agent, CBRE agreed terms to re-gear their lease, to include the installation of a digital advertising screen at the junction of Lord Street, Whitechapel, Church Street and Paradise Street.
The acquisition of this property “book-ended” our client’s ownership of all of the properties along this side of Lord Street, which includes H&M, up to and including New Barratt House, at the junction of Lord Street and North John Street, opposite the entrance to Liverpool ONE, which is now anchored by Marks and Spencer.
As part of the re-gear, external works were agreed between GIA, acting on behalf of the landlord and CBRE UK acting on behalf of HSBC, prior to the installation of the digital screen, which will be operated by Open Media UK.
The acquisition of the property was undertaken by Simon Bland; whilst the discussions with Rory O’Leary at CBRE, to re-gear the lease, were undertaken by Wayne Blount-Powell and Peter Burke.
