When EE confirmed they were not renewing their lease as they had sufficient representation in Liverpool, we immediately looked at retailers who had requirements and also what occupiers would drive further footfall on Lord Street for our Belgian client, Vabeld.
It was evident that there was strong demand from the F&B sector and as a new entrant in to the market, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken were generating great reviews.
We were able to satisfy their size requirements and agreed terms quickly on the basis the premises were returned to a shell condition. The strip out revealed three further shop fits behind the EE façade dating back to the 70’s, and we installed new water, gas and electric to meet Popeye’s requirements.
The store opened with long queues as is proving to be one of the most exciting new additions to the city’s F&B sector.
